The Lightning Fisherman

A man nails an iron spike to his roof and warns the town. They ring church bells against lightning instead, in a tower full of gunpowder. A fable inspired by the 1769 Brescia disaster, when lightning struck the Church of San Nazaro and its gunpowder store destroyed about a sixth of the city. The inventor is fictional.
